Research Overview

Samanta Group aims to study how proteins behave in different environments using molecular simulations and machine learning techniques. Our goal is to develop computational tools to predict the properties of membrane proteins that are present in the cellular membrane, proteins in the presence of polymers, or soluble proteins.

Major research areas include:

  • Accurate and efficient prediction of membrane protein complex interface.
  • Understanding the phase behavior of proteins and polymers.
  • Improving the structure prediction and design of membrane proteins.
