¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵto remain open on July 3, employees will receive an extra holiday at winter break

Dear ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵfaculty and staff,

As you may be aware, Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced that state offices will be closed on Thursday, July 3, in observance of an additional holiday. However, the University of South Florida is not included in this closure as we operate separately as part of the State University System and do not follow the same holiday schedule. We also recognize that as an academic institution, many of our team members cannot take annual leave this week as we are on a condensed schedule with summer classes and we need to continue to deliver important services in support of our students.

While ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵwill remain open and classes will continue as scheduled on July 3, I am pleased to announce that in recognition of your hard work, our employees will receive an extra day off as part of our extended winter break holiday schedule. A complete winter break schedule will be shared in the coming weeks as details are finalized.

We will be closed on Friday, July 4, as scheduled. I hope you can use the opportunity to celebrate our nation and spend time with loved ones.

Thank you for everything you do for our great university.
