There’s a particular energy in Delhi. It’s as if anything could happen at any moment. It’s a city full of juxtapositions – a city of ancient history and high-tech start-ups, of laborers and luxury, of censure and celebration.  Over the course of seven days, ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵWorld’s India Country Advisor, Aruna Dasgupta, and Vanessa Martinez, assistant director of international community relations, traversed the Indian capital meeting with ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵalumni from across the city’s cultural, political, and professional spectrum. Each meeting was a joyous occasion to relive Florida memories, reminisce about old friends and professors, and share successes since graduation.

¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵWorld’s new strategy for global alumni engagement embraces meaningful and personalized interactions with alumni. Rendezvous with alumni led Dasgupta and Martinez to local hotspots like Khan Market and GK2 Market, quiet neighborhoods, and even public and private medical facilities. From entrepreneurship and international business to journalism and medicine, they met with impressive Bulls excelling in their fields and expanding USF’s global impact.

¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵ were excited to learn about ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵNetwork India, the university’s largest global network, with a prospective membership of over 4,000 alumni, students, faculty, and partners around the world. Each meeting was step toward expanding this interconnected web of ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵalumni with personal and professional ties to India and building awareness of its incredible potential.
