Carol is a Biomedical Sciences major at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ with a passion for medicine, leadership, and service. She is the President and Founder of End Overdose at USF, Head Director of the BACE Program, and Vice President of Programming and Communications for the Dean’s Student Leadership Society. Carol is also an oncology technician at Moffitt Cancer Center and actively conducts clinical and biomedical research. As a first-generation Egyptian student, she is dedicated to mentorship, health equity, and empowering others to pursue meaningful impact in healthcare.

Lana Almukhtar is a freshman in the Honors College from Baghdad, Iraq, majoring in biomedical sciences. She currently serves as the Secretary for the Pre-Med MAP and is preparing to complete her Experience Abroad in the Dominican Republic over the summer. She presented her first research poster earlier this year at the 2024 USF Health Research Conference. Her goal is to pursue an MD, possibly specializing in neurology or internal medicine. In addition to her studies, Lana enjoys cooking, fashion, learning new languages, and going to the gym.

Aditi Anand

Aditi Anand is a freshman biomedical sciences major with a minor in public health, and a member of the Judy Genshaft Honors College. She has lived in four different countries so far (Denmark, India, Canada, and the US). She serves as the treasurer of Biokind Analytics and is actively involved in research as part of a poster group at USF, focusing on improving medical resource triage through technology. Passionate about public health, pediatrics, and healthcare, she volunteers with Reach Out and Read to support early childhood literacy and at Advent Health to gain clinical experience. After completing her degree at USF, she hopes to attend medical school and become a pediatrician. In her free time, Aditi likes to play tennis, swim, and learn guitar.

Seth is from Orlando, Florida. He is a freshman studying Economics. He is planning to go into the private equity field. After he graduates, Seth plans to attend business school as well as law school.

Trisha Bhathivi
Public Health and Biomedical Sciences
Bio
Trisha Bhathivi double majoring in Public Health and Biomedical Science. She is also
a part of the Honors College. Currently, she is a medical assistant and part of a
research lab studying cutaneous oncology, with a particular focus on melanoma. In
addition, she is actively involved in student organizations related to medicine to
gain hands-on experience and expand her knowledge in the field. Her goal is to pursue
an MD and possibly specialize in cardiology or oncology. Outside of academics, Trisha
enjoys playing tennis, practicing the violin, and baking. She values creativity and
balance in her life, and uses these hobbies as a way to unwind and stay engaged beyond
her medical pursuits.

May Birch is a senior of the College of Arts and Sciences and the Judy Genshaft Honors College. She is working on her major in International Studies and her minor in Legal Studies. This summer, she plans on attending Cambridge's International Security and Intelligence Programme. Overall, she hopes to graduate and attend law school to learn international law, eventually wanting to work in the foreign service.

Jenique Blanc is a junior at the USF, double majoring in Econometrics & Quantitative Economics and Finance with a concentration in Investment Analysis, and minoring in Risk Management & Insurance. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, she values diverse perspectives and actively promotes cultural awareness. She helped co-found LIME, the Trinidad and Tobago student organization at USF, where she fosters community engagement and educates others about her heritage. Passionate about finance, investment research, and risk management, she has engaged with industry professionals through networking events and internship opportunities. Beyond academics and leadership, Jenique enjoys reading and learning new information from watching documentaries.

Allison Bollow

Allison Bollow is a biomedical sciences major on the pre-med track in the honors college. She is the former vice president of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority at ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµand is a member of the Positive Aging Lab. In her lab, she is researching non-pharmaceutical interventions for Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She has helped raise over $100,000 for breast cancer education and awareness through partnerships with Making Strides, the American Cancer Society, and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This work has made her very passionate about oncology, compounded by her family history of breast cancer. Allison is also a member of the Order of Omega Greek Honors Society and a peer leader for General Chemistry 2. She is very passionate about medicine and is looking forward to learning and working alongside other driven ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµstudents.

Sierra Boodhoo is a Senior in the International Studies BA program who is also pursuing a minor in Anthropology; she has a completed 3-year Pre-med AA in Biomedical Sciences. She is a Legislative Intern for TECO and participant of USF's TIP and LIP. She's an officer of the Badminton Club at USF, and a former PTK Honor Society President. Sierra is pursuing the Global Citizen Award and is a current GloBull Ambassador after she studied Comparative Politics in London. She aims to touch and help many lives through a career in International Law and Public Policy, possibly transitioning to Cultural Property Law with her Archeological passions later on.

Alyssa Capel is a freshman from Port Orange, Florida. She is majoring in biomedical sciences with a minor in public health on the pre-physician assistant (PA) track. She served in various leadership positions during high school and is excited to continue that journey here at USF. In addition to her studies, Alyssa enjoys going to the beach with friends, working as a registered behavioral therapist with neurodivergent children, volunteering at the VA hospital, and spending time with friends and family. After graduation, Alyssa plans to pursue a PA degree in order to become a pediatric or obstetric PA.

Mariah Cornielle

Mariah Cornielle is a freshman political science major, with an expected graduation in the fall of 2026 at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ. She is driven by her lifelong goal to become a lawyer, cultivated by her passion for law and assisting individuals who can’t help themselves. She has indulged in various volunteer and educational opportunities, including a 7-month-long internship under a local attorney. Mariah is currently a member of the Dean's Student Leadership Society and Phi Alpha Delta, where she is keen on being heavily involved and contributing to the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµcommunity. In addition to her studies, she loves serving at her church body, running outside, going to the beach, and watching football. She plans to attend law school after graduation and pursue a career in corporate law.

Mevlana Demiri

Mevlana Demiri is a third-year, first-time college student at the University of South
Florida, majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology. She plans to
pursue an MD/PhD, integrating clinical practice with neuroscience, cancer biology,
and neuro-engineering research. She will assist in various research labs over the
summer and in the upcoming semesters, gaining hands-on experience in advanced surgical
techniques and behavioral studies.
Outside of academics, Mevlana is deeply committed to community service, mentorship,
and leadership. She volunteers with Health Buddies, supporting elderly patients, and
has also contributed her time to organizations such as Harbor Dish and the Clearwater
Marine Aquarium. She founded ZYVAH, a USF-based fashion magazine that amplifies student
voices through creative expression and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In her free time, Mevlana enjoys exploring her creativity through fashion design,
learning new languages, and staying active. She is excited to continue expanding her
research experience, enhancing her leadership abilities, and developing the skills
necessary for a future in medicine and scientific discovery.

Shrey Dhamal is a Sophomore studying Biomedical Sciences in the Judy Genshaft Honors College from Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently a part of many student organizations, the most notable position being the Vice President of the Students of India Association. Shrey aspires to attend medical school and eventually practice medicine in his home state of Georgia.

Jenna Epright is a senior majoring in Political Science with a minor in Film and New Media Studies. Jenna currently serves as the President of DSLS for the Fall 2025 term and is also a ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµAmbassador. She serves on the Women in Leadership and Philanthropy Student Council, helping to spearhead the WLP Student Summit. Jenna is currently serving as an intern for US Representative Darren Soto and hopes to attend law school after graduating. In her free time, she likes to watch movies, volunteer in the community, and spend quality time with her family.

Caitlin Foley is a junior Biology (Medical Concentration) and Psychology major with
a Nutrition minor at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ. She aspires to be a physician,
driven by her passion for medicine, patient care, and holistic health. She has extensive
volunteer experience working at free clinics and UF Health, where she has contributed
to improving healthcare accessibility for underserved populations.
Caitlin is also a former Division 1 track and cross country athlete for ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµand the
founder of Strength Beyond Sport, a support group dedicated to helping former athletes
transition to life beyond competition. She plans to attend medical school after completing
her degree at USF, with the goal of becoming a physician committed to comprehensive,
patient-centered care.

Sophia Han is a first-year student from Boca Raton, Florida at the Judy Genshaft Honors college, currently pursuing a BA in Psychology and a BA minor in Literary Studies. Her interests include neuroscience, women’s health, teaching, and exemplifying cultural diversity. Sophia volunteers at Hope Lodge and local food banks in her free time, driven by her motivation for service work. She also writes for Sparks magazine and plans to do meaningful psychological research in the near future. On the pre-medicine track, she plans to attend medical school to become a neurologist. Beyond academics, she enjoys reading, writing, watercolor painting, learning piano, and hanging out with her friends.

Madison Hansen is a freshman student from Orono, Minnesota. She is majoring in Biomedical Sciences. At USF, she is a member of the figure skating club, ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµFriends of MSF, and Vice President of the crochet club. Back home, she works as a gymnastics coach. Outside of school, she enjoys hanging out with friends, travelling, and spending time outdoors. Post-grad, Madison plans to attend medical school to become an MD.

De-Janaye "Deja" Hicks is a freshman from Jacksonville, Florida. As a ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµstudent, De-Janaye is an active member of the Black Women in Law, a club focused on providing opportunities for Black undergraduates on their journey to law school. Deja has served as a co-host for the Black Student Union during the Verto Study Abroad Program in Costa Rica. De-Janaye is majoring in political science. In addition to her studies, Deja enjoys going to the beach, trying new foods, traveling, and volunteering with local organizations. After graduation, she plans to attend law school with the goal of becoming a corporate lawyer.

Allison Hoang is from Hollywood Florida who is majoring in biology. She is apart of Vietnamese Student Association, Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, and Pre-Med AMSA. Tiffany Hoang is from Woodbury, Minnesota. She is a fourth-year Biomedical Sciences and Infection Control student on the Pre-Physician Assistant track, with a passion for infection studies. During her time at USF, she has been involved in various organizations, including DSLS, serving as the social media manager of the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµSwim Club and the Public Relations chair of the Vietnamese Student Association. She is also a member of the Pre-Physician Assistant Society and Student ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ Association. In addition to her studies, Tiffany works and volunteers at Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health, and Moffitt Cancer Center. Cameran Isler is a freshman from Orlando, Florida. Cameran is double majoring in political science and philosophy, following a pre-law track. Cameran has worked closely with the Florida Civics and Debate Initiative (FCDI) to advance civic engagement and education in students in grades 6-12. At USF, Cameran participates in the Undergraduate Research Society and is currently engaged in a research project investigating the effect of microplastics in our food. In addition, Cameran is a proud member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Society. Beyond academic life, Cameran has a passion for the arts and physical activity, often found hip-hop dancing or skateboarding around campus. Cameran’s leisure time also includes enjoying episodes of The Office. Cameran's goals are set on earning a law degree and securing a governmental position. With a strong foundation built at USF, Cameran aspires to become a future leader in the legal and political arenas.

A'Niya Jackson

A'Niya Jackson is a first-year student in the Honors College at the University of South Florida. She is pursuing a major in microbiology with a minor in biomedical anthropology. She is a current member of the National Society of Black Women in Medicine, Motivating Black Students into Medicine, Golden Bulls Dance Club, and a current Board member of the Dance Club at USF. Her academic journey is marked by a strong commitment to community involvement at USF. Her goal is to pursue an MD, with a specialty in internal medical or infectious diseases, driven by her passion for medicine and a desire to improve health literacy and education. She has diverse volunteering experiences with various organizations, including Feeding Tampa Bay, Idea Exchange Tampa, and Advent Health Hospital. Outside of her studies, A'Niya enjoys dancing, baking, reading, and pilates.

Bhargav Kadiyala is a freshman in the Judy Genshaft Honors College from Tampa, Florida. As an active member of the Tampa Bay community and a student at USF, Bhargav avidly participates in many organizations, including the Students of India Association (SIA), where he serves as the event’s co-chair, and is an active member of clubs such as Rotaract and Red Cross. Bhargav is majoring in biology with a concentration in medical sciences and plans to declare a minor by the end of Spring 2024. As a valuable supplement to his academics, Bhargav loves to spend his time in extracurricular activities that not only help him relax but also allow him to learn something new and give back to the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµand Tampa communities. Some of these activities include volunteering for the Humane Society and the VA. After graduation, Bhargav plans to apply for medical school. Though he is not yet sure where he will apply, he continues to dedicate himself to academics and extracurriculars, ensuring his success in future educational endeavors.

Born and raised in Tampa, FL, with roots in Tripoli, Libya, she is passionate about diplomacy and international affairs. She is on the Foreign Service Officer Track, aspiring to become an ambassador between Libya and the U.S. Oswa currently serves as a Student Engagement Coordinator Intern for ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµStudent PIRGs and a Digital Engagement Specialist for USF. In her free time, she enjoys writing poetry, reading, and hosting her podcast, The Libyan Diaspora.

Megha Kalia is a first-year student at the Judy Genshaft Honors College at the University of South Florida, majoring in biology with a minor in psychology. She aspires to become a physician and is interested in dermatopathology, where she hopes to combine her passion for clinical care and skin-related diseases. Her research interests include epidemiology and genetics, and she is currently conducting research with the Tampa General Hospital neurosurgery department and serving as a research assistant at Moffitt Cancer Center. She has presented at various research conferences and plans to work as a medical assistant in the summer to expand her clinical experience. She also volunteers at several institutions around Tampa, including Tampa General Hospital and AdventHealth. On campus, she is involved with the Honors College events and serves as fundraising chair for Tiny Treasures, a student organization supporting NICU babies with essential care items. Outside of academics, she enjoys traveling, dancing, and trying new foods.

Maryam Abu Khaled is an undergraduate student at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in Psychology. From Middle School onward, Maryam has always wanted to make a positive difference in the world of healthcare and aspires to become a physician scientist through a graduate MD/PhD program. She is currently part of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the Aspiring Physician Scientists Association, and the Council for Global Health Scholars, pursuing medical-related projects in all three with the aim to improve the state of the world and the people within it. Maryam is currently working at Tampa General Hospital to earn her clinical hours as a Patient Care Technician prior to applying to Medical School and aims to begin Laboratory Research in the Summer. Her volunteer experiences include working with her local Girl Scout service unit, as well as through the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida Council as a whole, in addition to attending various events hosted by student organizations around campus. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Lana Klein-Couzzi is a sophomore majoring in biology and is a member of the Judy Genshaft Honors College. Lana spends her time volunteering at a no-insurance hospital, translating patient-doctor interactions from Spanish to English and vice versa. She is currently assisting in Dr. Richard's lab on a project dealing with invasive Knotweed. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in the medical field.

Kade is a political science and economics major in his third year at the University of South Florida. Born in a small town in Nebraska, Kade has lived all over the United States seeing how different Americans live and breathe in their own sectors of the nation. Kade channeled these experiences in his education at USF, using their diversity and energy to create student organizations of his own such as the Boxing Club at USF and interning for elected officials across the Tampa Bay Area. Building off of these experiences, Kade hopes to pursue a career where he can support the communities who have less say in the democratic process and suture the divides caused by polarization and politics in the towns he's lived in.

Nichola "Nico" Lavaud is a freshman in the Honors College from Miami, Florida. Nichola is majoring in political science and economics, minoring in philosophy, and is on the pre-law track. Nichola serves as the Assistant Director of Administration for the Village Area Council and is a ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµAmbassador. Outside of his studies, Nichola volunteers as a museum docent at the Florida Holocaust Museum and will study the Holocaust during an Experience Abroad in Germany and Poland this summer. After graduation, Nichola plans to attend law school to work in human rights law.

Jeffrey Lee is a sophomore from Princeton, New Jersey, pursuing a degree in psychology at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ. He serves as a patient care technician at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital and tutors STEM subjects, including biology, chemistry, and physics, for ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµAthletics. Additionally, he works as a personal trainer at ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµRecreation & Wellness and engages in research at the Ju Lab, where he contributes to projects in synthetic organic chemistry. Jeffrey is also a member of Phi Delta Epsilon and is committed to the pre-medicine track. Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, he enjoys spending time playing sports such as basketball and pickleball.

Andrew is a first-year student who graduated with his International Baccalaureate diploma from Land O’ Lakes High School and is now a part of the Judy Genshaft Honors College at ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµTampa. Currently, he is highly involved in the Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity and serves as a development coordinator and counselor for Camp Kesem USF, a nonprofit that provides year-round support and a free summer camp for children whose parents have received a cancer diagnosis. Andrew is an aspiring physician studying biomedical science and minoring in nutrition, with an interest in preventative medicine, helping underserved communities, and medical education. Outside of his work at USF, Andrew is studying to become an EMT and enjoys spending his free time playing guitar and bass with his band, going to the gym, being in nature, and playing hockey and flag football in recreation and intramural leagues.

Sara Mansoor

Sara Mansoor is a sophomore in the Honors College at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ, double majoring in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology. Originally from Baghdad, Iraq, she is trilingual and passionate about neuroscience, she has conducted research on neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson’s and dementia. As the president of Bright Young Minds Alliance, she coordinates tutoring programs at local schools, including Pizzo K-8 and Freedom High School, to support the academic growth of young minds in her community. She is also the founder of Students Against Trafficking, an organization she founded through her UN Millennium Fellowship, which she completed in December 2024. On the pre-med track, Sara is dedicated to advancing healthcare through education and research. She is also the Treasurer of The Shifa Society of Muslim Pre-Health Students, where she helps create an inclusive and supportive space for Muslim students pursuing careers in healthcare. In her free time, Sara enjoys reading, running, and listening to music.

Marguerite Michael is currently a junior Information Sciences major on an Intelligence Analysis track. She hopes to take her passion to law school where she will work to advocate for Domestic Violence and SA victims throughout the U.S. through her advocacy and unwavering dedication to law and society. In her free time, Marguerite loves to lift weights, code, and advocate for females in the fitness realm through her club CHAARG on campus.

Anagha Nagamalli

Anagha Nagamalli is a second-year pre-med student at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ, originally from Land O' Lakes, Florida. She is pursuing a major in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Public Health, following a pre-medical track. She holds leadership roles as the Shadowing Director for Pre-Med Map and as a Relay for Life Manager with the American Cancer Society. She actively volunteers at Moffitt Cancer Center and has participated in research presentations at conferences such as FURC and ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµHealth. Currently, she is working toward publishing her first research paper. Outside of academics, she enjoys creating pottery, reading, and shopping. She plans to attend medical school and become a cardiologist.

Marisa Panton is a first-year Economics student with a minor in Political Science. A first-generation immigrant from Jamaica, she is deeply involved in her campus community as a member of the Honors College, the Black Leadership Network, and the Bright Young Minds Association. Marisa works as a student assistant in the university library and as a ticket representative for the athletics department. In her free time, she enjoys tutoring, traveling, reading, and volunteering with her church’s Sunday school. After graduation, Marisa plans to attend law school, with aspirations to specialize in Business and Real Estate Law.

Born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, she brings a multicultural perspective and is fluent in three languages, including English. Roma has a passion for exploring the world—she’s traveled to 15 countries and enjoys discovering new cuisines, reading, and going on cruises. She is currently seeking internship opportunities and plans to further her education by pursuing a master’s degree.

Saanvy Patel is from Dallas, Texas and is currently a sophomore pursuing a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in Nutrition. She plans to attend medical school after completing her degree at USF. Saanvy is extremely passionate about research, a passion that developed during a summer internship she completed at the NIH. She is currently engaged in cardiovascular research at Morsani. She has been involved in various organizations on campus as an executive board member, including ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµHOSA, URS, and JIST. Additionally, Saanvy is a member of Phi Delta Epsilon, a professional pre-medical fraternity on campus.

Olivia Pinilla (she/her) is a Senior majoring in Biology with a double minor in Public Health and Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ. Olivia was born and raised in South Florida, and her interests include medicine, mentorship, and public health. Olivia is a National Hispanic Scholar and is the President of Bulls for Moffitt and the Vice President of the Judy Genshaft Honors College Student Council. Olivia plans to attend medical school and continue her studies in the public health sector, with the goal of becoming a dermatologist.

Emma Poshi is a political science major, intending on attending law school after graduation next year. She is Albanian and takes a lot of pride in her culture, with much of the political work she plans to do in the future being related to the Albanian political climate. Born in Chicago, Emma moved to Clearwater, Florida, as a child and chose to attend ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµto stay closer to home. She is currently an aftercare teacher at an IDEA Hope School and enjoys spending time working with children because she truly believes education is the key to growth.

Brady Quinn

Brady Quinn is a second year honor student from Canton, Michigan, majoring in Mass
Communications. He has a deep passion for storytelling and visual media and is actively
involved in photography and videography projects on campus.
During Summer 2024, Brady studied abroad with the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµin Florence Program. Brady served
as a Resident Assistant, works with the big biology podcast, and is working with the
¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµAthletics Creative Internship Program. His long-term goals include working with
Saturday Night Live or contributing to National Geographic documentary productions.
He values communication, storytelling, and innovation, seeking to make a meaningful
impact through media and student engagement. He is not the best cook but would like
to get better. He enjoys sports, fashion, reading, and going to the gym.

Michelle Rodriguez

Michelle Rodriguez is a sophomore in the Judy Genshaft Honors College majoring in Biomedical Sciences. She is from Tampa, Florida and would like to go into medical school after graduation so that she can become a physician in the future. Michelle serves as an executive board member for numerous clubs at USF, including the United Nations Association, Pre-Health Training Society, and Survivor: TriBull Council. In her free time, she volunteers as a translator at the BRIDGE Clinic on campus and works with foster children through Guardian ad Litem.

Jhanavi Sabharwal

Jhanavi Sabharwal is a sophomore majoring in biology with a medical concentration and is on the premed track. She is from Faridabad, India, and has been enjoying Tampa since she moved here two years ago to pursue her degree. She is a proud member of Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity’s Florida Epsilon chapter at USF. Jhanavi is a research enthusiast and has presented at the Undergraduate Research Conference. She currently volunteers in the Porterfield Lab at ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµand loves animals, volunteering at an animal shelter in India over the summer. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, hanging out with friends, and traveling. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school with the hope of becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon.

Sean Sakimukai is a 1st year enrolled in a dual degree for physics and philosophy at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµ, motivated by intellectual curiosity and passion for learning. He aspires to be a researcher, driven by his passion for learning from all fields of academia. He is currently in the finance department of Student Government named Campus Council and is currently a venture capital and fintech analyst. He also has a passion in sports and has competed at the professional level. Sean holds several leadership roles and is a founder of organizations at USF. He plans to attend both grad and law school after completing his undergraduate degree.

Mohini Sharma

Mohini Sharma is a freshman Biomedical Sciences major in the Honors College. She is a Hagan Scholar, a student researcher exploring bacteriophages, and volunteers with many different organizations at and around USF, including the BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic, Moffitt Cancer Center, and the ADCL Lab. She’s participated in many clubs around USF including Thread Magazine, SPARKS magazine, Medi-Futures, Honors Student Council, the BACE program, and iBuddy. She is passionate about helping underserved communities around Tampa and plans to attend medical school after graduation with the goal of becoming an ophthalmologist.

Anika Shrivastava

Anika Shrivastava is a current freshman, studying the major of Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. After moving to three different countries—Japan, India, and the United States—she truly learned to be an adaptive and social individual while understanding the value of diversity. She plans to pursue a career as a business management consultant and/or marketing analyst. As a ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµstudent, Anika is involved in many organizations that contribute to her professional and holistic growth. She is a part of Mizrana, which is a Bollywood fusion dance team. Additionally, she contributes to her residential community by being a part of the Storm Area Council and organizing events. She is also professionally involved as a pledge for Delta Sigma Pi and as a social media and marketing intern for 9yaps, a student-run company that partners with local businesses. In her free time, Anika enjoys dancing, going to the beach, hiking, trying new cuisines, and meeting new people.

Lindsey Smith

Lindsey Smith is a freshman in the Judy Genshaft Honors College from Pembroke Pines, Florida. Lindsey is double majoring in International Studies and Psychology with a special interest in cultural studies. Lindsey is interested in pursuing a career in human rights and hopes to work with international organizations such as the UNHCR. Aside from her studies, Lindsey enjoys music and dedicates her time to giving free music lessons with the Do Re Mi Project. Lindsey is also a member of the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµrowing club, and she likes to spend her free time running, biking, or embarking on other outdoor activities. Lindsey’s love for learning new cultures expands to her interest in traveling, and she will be joining the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµHonors College on a trip to Germany in May where she plans to spend an additional week exploring other European countries.

Amelia Soler-Sala

Amelia is a Junior at USF, pursuing a double major in International Studies and Political Science on a pre-law track. Born and raised in New England, Amelia grew up in Massachusetts, Vermont, and New York, and currently resides in New Hampshire. In her two years at USF, Amelia has been fortunate enough to work with ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµModel United Nations as a member of their executive board, interned with ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµPIRG, and acted as a volunteer Russian-to-English language translator for refugee patients at ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµMorsani Healthcare. Amelia hopes to channel the valuable skills into her postgraduate education, and eventually in her career as an international lawyer.

Deeksha Sridher

Deeksha Sridher is a biomedical sciences major and French minor. She is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. She is currently the president of French Club, secretary for HOSA, and programming director for SPARKS. Additionally, she is passionate about neuroscience and has done related research both at ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµand in her hometown. She is also passionate about activities that allow her to connect her passions for medicine and French, such as translating infographics for HLI and interpreting for patients at a clinic. Her biggest hobbies include traveling, spending time outdoors, reading, playing piano, and spending time with family and friends.

Divyani is a sophomore in the Honors College, aspiring to attend medical school and pursue research in bioinformatics. She currently serves as the service chair of the Undergraduate American Medical Women's Association and as the treasurer of the Hindu Student Council. Divyani is also a part of Mizrana, a collegiate dance team in Tampa Bay. She is majoring in biomedical sciences and data sciences, conducting research at the Health Informatics School and the Microbiome Institute. Divyani loves to dance, hang out with friends, and travel in her free time.

Dung Tran

Dung is from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is a current ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµstudent majoring in Biomedical Science. On campus, Dung is involved with the Vietnamese Student Association and USF Rowing Club, amongst others. He is also an avid photographer and foodie who loves to hang out with friends. Upon graduation, he hopes to be accepted to medical school or a PA program.

Humanities and Film Studies, Political Science minor

Gabrielle Whyte is a junior, currently dual-enrolled in the bachelor’s in humanities and master’s in film studies programs, with a minor in political science. As a USF student, Gabrielle has presented research at both local and national conferences, competed as a member of the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµmock trial team, and served as co-founder and president of the New Media Collective at USF. She will also be serving as a research assistant for the Center for Sustainable Democracy and returning to the renowned Richard Macksey National Undergraduate Research Symposium for the second consecutive year. Gabrielle also currently serves as an intern/volunteer at the Gasparilla and Sunscreen Film Festivals and as a contributor and editor for The Closeup, a new undergraduate media studies journal written, edited, and published by ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓÆµstudents. Gabrielle is passionate about the political impact of media and culture and spends her free time writing and creatively directing socio-politically aware films and new media products. After graduating, she hopes to complete a master’s degree in media studies and then pursue an education in entertainment and intellectual property law, with the goal of establishing a media institute aimed at democratizing the media industry and promoting increased political, social, and cultural awareness and understanding.
